Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through our Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them. They give the one-to-one support, guidance and practical solutions people need, and that can be hard to find elsewhere. Admiral Nurses are continually trained, developed and supported by Dementia UK. Families that have their support have someone truly expert and caring by their side helping them to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.

LandAid brings together the property and wider built environment industry to fulfil ESG goals through supporting life-changing services for 16–24 year-olds experiencing homelessness. They award monetary grants and arrange free property expertise to youth homelessness charities across the UK.

The MND Association is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to improving care, support and research for people living with or affected by motor neurone disease (MND). The charity provides vital practical and emotional support to individuals and families, funds pioneering research to improve understanding and treatment of MND, and campaigns tirelessly to raise awareness and drive improvements in care.
Through a nationwide network of volunteers, specialist services and partnerships with the NHS and care providers, the MND Association works to ensure that those affected by MND receive the support they need, when and where they need it. Their ultimate aim is a world free from MND.

Imagine not being able to move, sleep or smile. Feeling anxious or depressed and struggling to think or remember. Your body not feeling like your own. This is what Parkinson’s can feel like. Your mum, son or friend. Anyone can get Parkinson’s, young or old. Around 145,000 people in the UK live with Parkinson’s. That’s around one adult in every 350 and every hour, two people in the UK are told they have Parkinson’s.
Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world , and currently there is no cure. It is widely misunderstood, often perceived as ‘just the shakes’ – however, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Its true impact is devastating and people with Parkinson’s can experience a wide range of symptoms including: painful muscle spasms, freezing of limbs, depression, and dementia. In fact there are as many as 40 symptoms of Parkinson’s.
Parkinson’s UK is close to major breakthroughs. By funding the right research into the most promising treatments, we get closer to a cure every day. Until then, Parkinson’s UK is there for everyone affected by Parkinson’s. Fighting for fair treatment and better services. Making everyone see its real impact. Together we will find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

THE CHRISTIE CHARITY
The Christie Charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Gifts from the public make a huge difference to the care and treatment that The Christie is able to provide to our patients and their families.
The Christie Charity raises money for a wide range of projects and initiatives within the hospital.
Donations from our supporters mean we can provide enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. This includes continuous funding for a number of services throughout the hospital including the cancer information centre, art room and complementary therapy.
We are also raising money for major developments including our campaign to bring blood testing closer to home.
